Toselli boasts a family tradition in the production of agricultural machinery that began in 1935 with the company founded by Toselli Tonino, a craftsman of undisputed skill and inventiveness, who started the business by building wooden plows and furrowers. Following the entry into the company of his sons Alberto and Mario, the company began the production of new equipment including potato diggers, grubbers, harrows and weeders, distinguishing itself on the market for important innovative patents and for the reliability and efficiency of its products.

Since 1969 as a result of the new needs that have arisen in the agricultural field, the development and production of mounted, semi-mounted and self-propelled sprayers is started, which will later become Toselli’s primary activity. The company developed new technologies in the field of crop protection, distinguishing itself by producing the first self-propelled sprayers and hydraulic booms in Italy. The specialization in the sector and the predisposition for research of Alberto Toselli, the Company’s technical soul, also led to the development of numerous innovative solutions and equipment including contact and shielded booms, localized weed control devices and some prototypes of particular note, including a self-propelled hovercraft sprayer for paddy fields. Thanks to the constant attention paid to innovation, Toselli was the first company in Italy to design and build self-propelled sprayers, in 1970, and to equip its machines with electronic devices for automatic distribution control as early as 1976.
